The purpose of content creation.

“Why keep on creating when everything has been created already?" This question, whispered by doubt and echoed by uncertainty, has often reverberated through the corridors of my mind, challenging the purpose of my passion for photography. 

In a world saturated with an abundance of creations, the sheer magnitude of artistic masterpieces, groundbreaking films, and iconic photographs can indeed leave us feeling dwarfed by their greatness. Admiring the use of light in a Caravaggio’s painting, the perfect composition of a Salgado’s photograph, or genius in a Kubrick’s movie, it's easy to perceive ourselves as mere specks in the grand tapestry of human creativity.

Yet, amidst these towering achievements, there exists another side to the coin – social media, where trends proliferate at lightning speed, and everyone seems to be chasing the same elusive spotlight. In this digital age, platforms like Instagram and TikTok have democratized creativity, offering a platform for anyone with a smartphone to share their creations with the world. While this democratization of creativity has its merits, it has also led to a homogenization of content, where trends are recycled ad nauseam, and originality often takes a backseat to conformity.

Scrolling through our social media feeds, we are bombarded with an endless stream of content, all blending into a sea of sameness. It's easy to feel lost in the crowd, overshadowed by the cacophony of voices clamoring for attention. In this age, where viral trends come and go in the blink of an eye, it's easy to succumb to the pressure to conform, to produce content that fits neatly into the mold of what's popular or trending at the moment.
